Repatriation of Ashes

If you wish to take your loved one’s ashes overseas, we can assist you with preparing the necessary documentation at no additional cost. Families will need to carry the original Death Certificate and Cremation Certificate showing the name of the deceased, where and when they were cremated, and confirmation that the container holds only ashes.

Most airlines allow ashes to be carried as carry-on or checked-in baggage, provided the urn or container is airtight, sealed, and securely fitted. The container must remain inside your luggage during the flight. You don’t need to declare ashes when booking, but you should inform the airline at check-in.
